Flight Information

The Championship Flight will consist of the top 32 qualifying round golfers. If more than 32 golfers post a score that could qualify, a playoff will be held to determine the top 32 at the end of medalplay on qualifying day. Championship Flight first day match play losers will automatically be placedin a Championship Consolation Flight.

Other Flights (1st and higher-numbered flights) will consist of 16 players. Placement in any given flight will be based on players’ qualifying scores; any ties will be broken through handicap hole com-parisons.

Golfers age 60 & over will have the following options to choose from:

• Play in the 65 & over Senior Flight. A tournament within the tournament, this flight will
conduct a separate qualifier with its own medalist and have its own match play bracket. All
play will be conducted from the Senior bronze tees.
• Qualify for regular championship and other flight play with all non-Senior Flight golfers.

• Play in a 60 & over Consolation Flight. The top eight (8) golfers (based on first-day qualifying scores) who lose their first match in a non-Championship Flight contest may elect after their first match to play in the 60 & over Consolation Flight. Players will be asked if they want to participate in this flight once their first day match has been lost. Seniors 65 & over playing in the Senior Flight may play in this consolation flight ONLY if they lose their first match, no other Senior Flight golfers rank ahead of them, AND there are fewer than 8 golfers that are available to play in this flight.

Golfers ages 45-59 may qualify for the 45-59 Consolation Flight. The top eight (8) golfers in this age bracket (based on first-day qualifying scores) who lose their first match in a non-Championship Flight contest may elect after their first match to play in this flight. Players will be asked if they want to participate in this flight once their first day match has been lost.

Sequence of Events:

 

• Practice Rounds are available on Monday July 29th and Tuesday July 30th or prior to those dates for $25.00. Please call pro shop (716-372-5175) and make a tee time.
• The Previous Champions Shootout will be held Tuesday July 31st at 5:30 p.m.
• Qualifying Round – Wednesday July 31st – Beginning at 8:00 A.M.- The Players dinner will be held at 6PM Wednesday night.
• Match Play: Thursday August 1st through Sunday August 4th.

o Friday, August 2nd: Championship and Championship Consolation Flights will conduct 2

rounds, all other flights, 1 round)
o Saturday August 3rd – Semi- Finals in all Flights, 18 holes.
o Sunday August 4th – Championship Flight 36-hole Final; All other flights will be an 18-hole Final.
